‘T Primeurke
‘T Primeurke was a series of happenings in gent. generally on Thursdays, starting around 18h. A group of students and ex students of LUCA school of arts and KASK Gent came together to create a living ‘artmosphere’ outside of school walls.
Our first happening took place on march 3, 2022.
‘A cage fight’. A competition in which works of art competed against eachother and the audience decided who won.
The second one, a week later, an all nighter at the nightshop. An exhibition in JJS nightshop, accompanied by a band playing in a corner next to the freezers.
The third: ‘bring your own ashtray’. inside a very litttle park Somewhere along Tramline 2. Somthing like a tuner car meet, except with your ashtray. With forms, fluorescent yellow, containing all specifics of ones ashtray.
fourth: The winners of our cage fight showing their work in an exhibition.
fifth: A beercards drawing convention. A heap of people drawing on beer coasters to decorate all walls of café Fatima were this event took place.
then came a lecture by Karel thienpont, a decked out publication cart and a drink to good or bad grades.
