A Museum

‘A museum’ was a 5 week performance. During this period I directed a museum inside my bedroom and living space. Fulfilling the duties of a museum director without any personel proved rather challenging.

Every week another artist or artists showed work inside my Museum. I prepped the room by making everything white. From walls to plants.

On view were installations, sculptures, paintings and a series of performances.

The only limit I gave my Colleagues was the everlasting presence of, and access to, my bed.
On the ground floor a multifuntional livingroom, serving as: bar, lounge, office, workstation and private collection conservatory. (exhibit A)

A Museum might be a nod to Jan Hoet’s ‘Chambres d’amis’ and Joost Zwagerman’s ‘Duel’.
The whole journey was filmed by Flore Van Sparretak.

Over the span of these weeks I wore a tux and shiny white shoes (exhibit B and C) every day from 17h to 21h.
